2024: IBEW 1245 helped PG&E secure  a $600 million Grid Resilience and Innovation Partnerships (GRIP) grant from the US Department of Energy, (DOE).  GRIP was initially created and funded as part of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. DOE’s award totals up to $2.2 billion across 8 projects and will help integrate 13 GW of energy onto the grid, according to DOE.
