As the Oakland City Council begins to receive federal relief funding and draft a balanced budget, Oakland city workers are launching a united campaign to advocate for a just recovery. City workers in five public sector unions, including IBEW 1245, are joining forces to urge the Mayor and City Council Members to commit to making big corporations and developers pay their fair share, and to pass a budget that invests in public services and the workers who provide them. The City’s budget should be determined in a transparent, democratically accountable process that involves the whole community. Click here to sign the petition.
