This morning (Nov. 8, 2017) Administrative Law Judge Peter V. Allen issued his proposed decision on the DCPP Joint Proposal, which includes the Basic Retention Package. We are currently having a legal analysis done and will get a detailed synopsis out to our members soon.
This Proposed decision will be voted on by the CPUC on Dec. 14 at their normal business meeting. On Nov. 28, the CPUC will hear oral arguments on this issue, which we — as well as many others — will be involved in. Although many aspects of the Proposed decision are troubling at best, be assured that as soon as the legal analysis is done we, along with our lawyers, PG&E and our partners in the Joint Proposal, will be developing a strategy that will protect the most valuable asset at the plant — which is you, the men and women who safely and efficiently provide power to the citizens of California.
Continue to work in the same professional and safe manner that you always have, and together we will fight to bring a fair resolution to this problem.
In Unity,
Tom Dalzell
