On May 15, 2017, the IBEW 1245 members at South San Joaquin Irrigation District ratified a new five-year agreement. The agreement includes a minimum 3% wage increase in each year of the agreement, with a maximum of 3.5%, depending on the CPI (if CPI exceeds 4% or more, then we’ve agree to notice the other party of a request to reopen on wages only).
The agreement has multiple improvements for members, including increased employer contribution to the 457 Deferred Comp Plan, increase in boot allowance, increase in Life Insurance, increases in employer contributions to dental, vision, and long term disability plans, as well as an increase in weekend standby at WTP. The agreement also locked in no changes to the health care plan, and contribution to PERS for classics will remain at 4%.
The bargaining committee consisted of Brian Nevitt, Bill Emslie and Tony Encalade.
