IBEW 1245 members who work for the City of Lompoc are pounding the pavement to elect more union-friendly City Council members, just as we did two years ago. We are also working to support the reelection of our Mayor, Bob Lingl, who has been a good friend to IBEW working families ever since taking office in 2014.
Sixteen City of Lompoc members have been walking precincts in Lompoc for the past three weeks, knocking on doors and talking to voters about the upcoming election. Our members have reached more 5,000 households to date.
On October 7, 8 and 9, we amped up our efforts and made our presence known by staging rallies in different locations across the city and driving the “Linglmobile” around the streets of Lompoc.
We are grateful for all of the help and support we’ve received from Local 1245 Business Manager Tom Dalzell, Assistant Business Manager Ray Thomas and the Executive Board. We are confident that the union’s support will help propel pro-worker candidates to victory in Lompoc this November.
