The Company’s Labor Relations Executive Committee (LREC) met today. At the end of the meeting, they were still considering several options for proceeding with negotiations to balance their operational issues and the interests of our members. They will meet again next week.
I know that many of you have no further patience for the Company’s position in negotiations and are ready to take action to put pressure on the Company.
Our patience is not unlimited, but I believe that we are best served by waiting a few days to let the Company’s deliberative process proceed. As long as there is some chance of a favorable resolution, we should give the process room to work out.
Again, our patience is limited. We will post another update as soon as the LREC meets next week.
