The Truckee Donner Public Utility District is a customer-owned electric and water utility located in the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains 15 miles north of Lake Tahoe.
This position performs installation, testing, maintenance and calibration of electric meters, wiring in the transformers and substations and related equipment and electrical components utilized by the District’s Electric and Water Departments.
Qualifications include completion of a wireman, electrician, or meter technician apprentice program with thorough knowledge of the principles and theory of electricity, safety standards, Title 8 of the Electrical Safety Orders and residential, commercial, and industrial electrical panels and wiring. Ability to read and understand schematics and wiring diagrams. Ability to operate a personal computer, communicate and work effectively with customers and co-workers. A high school diploma or equivalent and possession of a valid Class C driver’s license with record acceptable to district’s insurance carrier is required.

Wage: $42.48-51.64 per hour
