IBEW 1245 tree trimmer injuries/lesiones de podadores de árboles (English & Español)

May 8, 2014-Fort Bragg: A tree trimmer injures his back and spine  when a limb he was attached to broke dropping him 50 ft. to the ground.

April 2014, Stockton: A tree worker suffered a broken leg when a chipper attached to a vehicle rolled over onto his leg. The truck and chipper was stuck in the mud, while the chipper was being detached it rolled onto the worker.

April 2014- Sacramento: Two tree crew foremen were injured in separate incidents. A tree foreman cut his arm with a hand saw and another crew foreman spent the night in the hospital when a hydraulic hose caught a branch and the branch recoiled and hit him in the head.

Oct. 31, 2013- Redding:  A tree trimmer sustained major brain trauma as well as a broken eye socket and collapsed lung when a limb that was being lowered fell and landed on him.


8 de mayo de 2014-Fort Bragg: Un podador de árboles se lesionó la espalda y la columna vertebral al caer una distancia de unos 15 m (pies) al quebrarse la rama de donde se estaba sujetando.

Abril de 2014, Stockton: Un trabajador de árboles se fracturó una pierna cuando una astilladora enganchada a un vehí­culo le rodó por encima. El camión y la astilladora estaban atascados en el barro. Al desconectar la astilladora, ésta rodó sobre el trabajador.

Abril de 2014- Sacramento: Dos capataces de una cuadrilla de árboles sufrieron lesiones en dos incidentes diferentes. Un capataz de árboles sufrió una cortada en el brazo con una sierra manual y otro capataz de una cuadrilla pasó la noche hospitalizado al ser golpeado en la cabeza por una rama cuando una manguera hidráulica quedo atascada en la rama y ésta dio un coletazo.

31 de octubre de 2013- Redding: Un podador de árboles sufrió un grave traumatismo cerebral, una fractura en la cavidad ocular y un colapso pulmonar cuando se estaba bajando una rama y ésta le cayó encima.
