On Saturday May 17th, PG&E Linemen and Apprentice Linemen competed in the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) Lineman’s Rodeo. Four Journeyman Teams and four Apprentices, along with their families and friends, represented IBEW Local 1245 and PG&E at the rodeo, which included 28 Journeyman Teams and 55 Apprentice Linemen from across the western states.
Several IBEW 1245 members took top honors at the rodeo. Our heartfelt congrats to the PG&E Grass Valley team; Adam Been, Anthony Albright and JP Richard, for placing 1st in the Journeyman Pole Climb. We are also pleased to congratulate Templeton GC Apprentice Zach Huseby, who won 1st place in the Overall Apprentice Division and also scored highest on the written exam.

These linemen and others will be back to show off their skills at PG&E’s Internal Lineman’s Rodeo on August 16th at the Livermore training facility, where they will compete for an opportunity to represent PG&E and the IBEW Local 1245 at the International Lineman’s Rodeo in Kansas City on October 18th.
