The members of IFPTE-ESC local 20 who work at PG&E have voted in favor of ratifying a one-year contract extension. The final vote tally was 1090 to 87.
According to the ESC website, the extension includes
- A 2.75% general wage increase (GWI) effective January 1, 2015. This GWI will apply to all ESC-represented employees, including the monthly-paid employees who have received 1% GWIs as part of the STIP transition in the current contract. To be clear, all employees will receive a 2.75% increase. STIP participation for 2015 will remain at 10% (15% for Principals).
- An agreement to bargain with the Company over possible changes to the medical plan that are required for compliance with the Affordable Care Act. These possible changes involve hiring hall employees only, and are a result of new requirements that mandate that PG&E offer a medical plan to a certain percentage of its employees.
