More than 1,200 IBEW 1245 members from PG&E joined a tele-townhall with Business Manager Tom Dalzell on April 29 to hear first-hand about the proposed one-year contract extension.
The high-tech tele-townhall tool automatically dialed in thousands of members at PG&E who were able to join the call simply by answering their phones. The tele-townhall also allowed participants to ask questions, and dozens of members took advantage of the opportunity to discuss their issues and concerns.
Issues included the medical plan, contractors, the high cost of living, and a tentative Letter of Agreement affecting Gas Service workers.
Dalzell and several staff members from the negotiating team stayed on the line for an hour and a half to answer as many questions as possible.
By now, all members at PG&E should have received their ballots in the mail. If you haven’t, please call the union hall at 707-452-2700 or contact your Business Rep. If you still have questions, you can submit them online using the union’s web form below.
