GAS SERVICE DEPARTMENT – JOB DEFINITIONS AND LINES OF PROGRESSION
- Provides for 67 promotions (approximately 10% of workforce)
- 50 Lead GSRs
- 17 Service Mechanics
- Initial staffing of Lead GSRs will be one in every headquarters with 8 or more GSRs or above, there are 29 – 31 headquarters with 8 or more.
- The Company will fill 19 – 21 additional Lead GSRs at larger headquarters.
- Initial staffing of Lead GSRs will be under normal provisions of Title 205, the bidding system.
- Joint committee to develop training program for the Lead GSR.
- The Company will determine the headquarters for the additional 17 Service Mechanics to be filled by the normal bid process
- Joint committee to develop training program for Service Mechanics
- Lead Gas Service Representative’s base yearly wage – $100,984.00 ($48.55/Hour), 7.2% above GSR wage
- Limited number (100) & limited duties for beginning level position (Utility GSR)
- Can only be filled at a headquarters with a GSR, Service Mechanic or Lead GSR.
- Initial staffing of UGSR will be offered by the normal new hire interview process to trained T300 installers. {See the year 2000 Agreement for the hiring of Meter Readers after first AMI project}.
- Creates a more experienced pool of bidders to the GSR position.
- Wage Rate for new Utility GSR (UGSR) is same as Electric Department MMP – Top Step $36.89. Base yearly wage = $76,731
- Creates a lower classification eligible for temporary upgrade which will reduce forced overtime and forced shift changes – see P-RC 1118 and Title 202 Hours Clarification below.
- Lower classification eligible for temporary upgrade may provide more flexibility for vacation scheduling.
- Up to 50 opportunities for Hiring Hall members.
- There will be no 206 actions as result of this agreement
- No demotion
- No displacement
- No relocation
