The IBEW 1245 Safety Committee is slowly making progress regarding PG&E’s desire to turn off sensitive ground settings on line reclosures.
After years of discussions on this topic a meeting is scheduled for April 23. Some in the relay protection group will go over all the concerns and why we feel these valuable tools should not be turned off.
Our hope is we can find some middle ground with the company in identifying where they should be turned on, where they shouldn’t, and other concerns from both parties as to their use.
