Dozens of troublemen and dispatchers came together at PG&E’s 2014 Safety Kickoff on March 12 in El Cerrito.
IBEW 1245 members Brent Turner and John Kent led a discussion on the importance of the peer volunteer program. Kent joined Hold the Pull committee members Bob Springer, Spike Roberts and Mike Von Egmond to deliver an emotional and stirring presentation on 1245’s life-saving safety program. Thanks to Hold the Pull and other safety initiatives, there were zero casualties at 1245’s PG&E worksites last year.
Hold the Pull committee members are continuing to spread the word about the program at the numerous safety kickoffs taking place all across PG&E’s jurisdiction.
