Effective Dec. 8, 2013, there will be a new testing requirement for Hiring Hall IBEW-represented Physical Classifications. In addition to current requirements, there will be an additional test requirement called the Work Orientation Inventory (WOI). The WOI is a pre-employment test that measures four important job performance dimensions: Safety Behaviors, Driving Behaviors, Customer Service and Teamwork.
- Hiring Hall IBEW-represented Physical employees currently on assignment as Dec. 8, 2013 will not be required to meet the new testing requirements to continue in their current assignments. However, once the assignment has ended, the new testing requirements must be met in order to be dispatched for a new IBEW Physical assignment requiring the WOI, unless the employee has previously held the same or higher classification in the Line of Progression on a regular basis at PG&E.
The PG&E Hiring Hall Administration team will begin contacting individuals soon to invite them to test.
