The Tri Dam Project IBEW 1245 Bargaining Committee reached a tentative four year agreement on August 23, 2012. The tentative agreement includes cost of living adjustments of 3% for each of the four years with the first one being retroactive to March 1, 2012. Under the tentative agreement employees would pay the full 8% employee contribution to PERS retirement with a comparable advantage exchange in wages and new hires will enter into PERS retirement under the 2% @55 plan. The Project’s General Manager will recommend a “Yes” vote to the Board on September 20th, 2012 and the tentative agreement will go to the membership for a vote subsequent to board approval.
Over several months of bargaining the committees were able to reach table agreements in many areas including compensatory time off, sick leave, meal allowances, grievance procedures, and outage reduction incentive programs. The IBEW 1245 Bargaining Committee consists of Sr. Asst. Business Manager Dennis Seyfer, Business Rep. Charley Souders, Troy Hammerbeck, Jim Wilson, and Thomas Hardie.
