Union, PG&E agree to “cooling off” period
IBEW Local 1245 and PG&E negotiators met in Vacaville on Friday, April 20, with a federal mediator present to continue bargaining for Physical and Benefits agreements.
When it appeared that an agreement was beyond reach and that negotiations would break off, the mediator asked the parties to agree to a 30-day cooling off period. Both the company and the union agreed to the cooling off period.
After the cooling off period the union is prepared to meet the company again at the bargaining table. Besides analyzing possible paths to achieving resolution at the bargaining table, the union is developing contingency plans in the event a resolution cannot be achieved.
As always, please attend unit meetings for additional information and discussion.
