IBEW 1245/PG&E BARGAINING UPDATE

Today at the Union’s request the parties met with the assistance of a Federal Mediator to discuss the February 17, 2012 election results of the Company’s proposed settlement offer.

Business Manager and lead negotiator, Tom Dalzell explained to the Company the results of the feedback the Union received from various communications with our members, including nearly 2,500 surveys from our members received so far. Tom and all of our committee members shared with the Company the major topics of concern to our membership.

Company explained why it considered the proposed settlement to be fair and competitive, and the best the Company could do, however the parties agreed to explore whether mutually agreeable changes could be made to address members’ concerns

A meeting is tentatively scheduled on 4/12 for the parties to discuss any suggested changes.
