The Proposed Agreement you received from the IBEW dated Nov. 30, 2011 provides for the $600 annual CDL premium, for those currently eligible to receive this premium, to be added to hourly wages, which will increase with general wage increases and will affect pension, 401K and overtime.
During a recent conference call held by the Company a commitment was made to our members to extend this provision to other employees.
The Union and Company are in agreement to include all employees who are:
- Covered under the CDLA agreements or,
- Required by job definition to hold a CDL or,
- Utilizing the CDL for the convenience of the Company.
All employees who meet any of these conditions will have this amount added to their base wage rate. This new agreement will provide for an additional wage increase that positively affects overtime, pension benefits and 401K contributions for those members who are eligible.
The Union and Company are working on these agreements and we are encouraged by the progress made so far. As soon as the agreements are completed we will post them on our website.
