The City of Roseville and IBEW Local 1245 met for bargaining on March 23, where the City presented a counter proposal to the Union. The City’s proposal amounted to an estimated cost of $1.5 million over 2 years to the approximately 130 bargaining unit members. Union countered with concessions of an estimated $720,000 cost savings to the City over 2 years.
The City then declared impasse and per the ground rules established by the parties prior to bargaining have agreed to meet on April 6. If no agreement is reached then the parties are to participate in at least one mediation session with a State Mediator.
Our next Unit meeting is scheduled for April 6 at 4:15 pm at Fast Freddies Pizza.
