Local 1245 members at PG&E have ratified Letter Agreement 10-36. The agreement was presented to affected members for a vote in accordance with the union’s policy of having members vote on letter agreements which contain take-aways or have other controversial provisions.
Under the current Positive Discipline program, PG&E may not rely on de-activated positive discipline. Under Letter Agreement 10-36, the company still would not be allowed to rely on de-activated positive discipline, but it could rely on an employee’s entire safety record. The underlying safety issue, not the discipline that it produced, could be used.
The total number of ballots received by the union by the 10:00 a.m. deadline on Oct. 1, 2010, was 2563. The results are as follows:
