PG&E CAMPAIGN FOR THE COMMUNITY: SEPTEMBER 21 – OCTOBER 30

PG&E’s 2010 Campaign for the Community runs from Sept. 21 through Oct. 30. The campaign is a pledge drive to raise money for schools and charitable organizations. Local 1245 members can  make a pledge to the nonprofit organization of your choice.

Members can pledge online at home or at work: www.easygive.com/pge/. Online pledges are fast, secure and environmentally friendly.

The minimum gift amount is a $5 monthly payroll deduction pledge or a $10 one-time gift by check or credit card. (Gifts by credit card are only available online.) Gifts for any amount above the minimum are welcome.

Gifts to eligible environmental organizations and schools through the campaign are automatically matched dollar-for-dollar by the PG&E Matching Gifts Program – up to $2,500 per employee per calendar year, or until funding is exhausted. The minimum annual pledge to receive a match is $25.

This year’s campaign goal is to raise participation. All employees are eligible to participate and gifts to any 501(c)(3) nonprofit or eligible school within the U.S. are accepted.

A Grand Prize drawing will be held at the end of the campaign, with a top prize of a $2,000 donation to the donor’s favorite qualifying charity. Online donors are eligible to win a $1,500 donation to the donor’s favorite qualifying charity, and new donors are eligible to win a Nintendo Wii video game console. Details and eligibility information are available on the Campaign for the Community intranet page: //pgeatwork/Community/Campaign.

For more information, visit the Campaign for the Community intranet page or contact Carol Jauch (CRJ2) at 415-973-5724 or your organization’s donor representative. Request a pledge form from your donor representative or Carol Jauch.
