IBEW 1245 member and groundman Antonio Maldonado Mendoza is fighting for his life after suffering a critical head injury on Saturday, October 3.
Antonio was traveling home to visit family when the accident occurred. He remains hospitalized and unresponsive as his family holds out hope for his recovery.
Antonio had recently started his first job as a groundman with Wasatch Electric in Reno, Nevada, taking an important first step toward his dream of becoming a Journeyman Lineman.
His family describes him as a man of faith with a heart of gold, someone who works hard, cares deeply about others and was excited about the future he was building.
Antonio faces a long and uncertain road to recovery. His family has established a GoFundMe to help cover medical expenses, living costs and other financial needs during this difficult time.
Any contribution, no matter the size, can help ease the financial burden as they focus on his recovery.
Our thoughts are with Antonio and his loved ones. We hope to see him recover and have the opportunity to continue pursuing his dream of becoming a Journeyman Lineman.
