IBEW 1245 is pleased to announce the promotion of Gerald Williams to Assistant Business Manager.
Williams joined the IBEW 1245 staff as a Business Representative in 2017 after working as a Service Representative at PG&E’s Sacramento Contact Center. Before coming on staff, he served as both a Shop Steward and Organizing Steward and was active in a number of union and community campaigns.
Since joining the staff, Williams has spent nearly nine years representing IBEW 1245 members and advocating on their behalf at PG&E as well as other public and private sector employers.
In his new role as Assistant Business Manager, Williams will work alongside Assistant Business Manager Dave Sankey on PG&E’s grievance procedure, helping ensure members are represented and the union’s agreements are enforced.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to take on this new role and continue serving our members in a different capacity. I’ve learned a tremendous amount during my time as a Business Rep, and I’m looking forward to working with Dave and continuing to make sure our members are represented and our agreements are enforced,” Williams said.
“Gerald has earned the trust of our members through his hard work, sound judgment, and commitment to representing them,” said IBEW 1245 Business Manager Bob Dean. “He brings years of experience representing our members and a deep understanding of our agreements. I know he will bring that same dedication to his new role as Assistant Business Manager,” said IBEW 1245 Business Manager Bob Dean.
