At the California-Nevada JATC Power Lineman Apprenticeship Center, six apprentices officially completed their training and journeyed out as Journeyman Linemen, joining the ranks of one of the most skilled and respected trades in the utility industry.
The new journeymen are Austin Diemer, Stetson Mancha, Zackary Nordahl, Zachary Demello, Ricky Boster, and Travis Varni.
Earning a journeyman ticket is the culmination of years of hard work, dedication, and perseverance. Throughout their apprenticeship, these members logged thousands of hours in the field and classroom, developing the knowledge, skills, and judgment required to safely build, maintain, and restore the electric grid.
From climbing poles and working at height to responding to outages and mastering complex line construction, each graduate demonstrated the commitment and professionalism expected of the trade.
While their apprenticeship may be complete, their journey in the Brotherhood is just beginning. As Journeyman Linemen, they now carry forward the responsibility of upholding the high standards of safety, craftsmanship, and solidarity that define the profession.
Congratulations and welcome to the brotherhood, Austin, Stetson, Zackary, Zachary, Ricky, and Travis!
