A Message from IBEW 1245
This Memorial Day weekend, we pause not simply to celebrate freedom, but to remember the extraordinary cost at which it was secured.
We honor the brave men and women of our Armed Forces who gave their lives in service to our nation. They were sons and daughters, husbands and wives, mothers, fathers, friends, coworkers, and brothers and sisters in arms. Their sacrifice left an empty seat at countless tables, but their legacy continues to live on through the generations they protected.
Many members of the IBEW have worn this nation’s uniform before wearing the IBEW logo, carrying with them the values of service, sacrifice, discipline, and having each other’s backs. Memorial Day reminds us that those values were paid for by people who gave everything for something bigger than themselves.
As we spend time with loved ones this weekend, may we also take a moment to reflect, remember the fallen, and honor the families who continue to carry that sacrifice every day.
May we always strive to live in a way worthy of their service and sacrifice.
We remember them. We honor them. We will never forget them.
