After more than four decades of service to the trade and to his union brothers and sisters, IBEW 1245 member Mike Saner has retired.
Saner served 10 years in the United States Marine Corps before beginning a 41-year career with the IBEW. Initiated

in 1985, he worked as a lineman and subforeman in PG&E General Construction.
Saner also served the membership as a member of the Local 1245 Advisory Council and on the 2005 PG&E bargaining committee. In 2009, he joined the union staff as a Business Representative, working with members across multiple regions in Northern California.
In recent years, Saner remained active with the IBEW 1245 Veterans Committee, continuing to support fellow Veterans and the next generation entering the trade.
“Through his humility and his unwavering commitment to his brothers and sisters, Mike earned the utmost respect of everyone he has worked with,” said Business Manager Bob Dean. “We’re grateful for everything he’s given to 1245 and the members he served, and wish him a fulfilling well-deserved retirement.”
