The California Line Clearance Competition (CALCC) is back—and this year brings a new location, new events, and the same high level of skill, teamwork, and precision that defines the trade.
Set for June 13, 2026, at Alden Park on Mare Island in Vallejo, the competition will bring together arborists, line clearance professionals, and crews from across the region to put their skills to the test in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
From speed climbs and rigging challenges to aerial operations and coordinated relays, competitors will take on events designed to mirror real-world conditions—where timing, communication, and execution make all the difference. This year’s lineup includes Maverick & Goose Relay, Danger Zone Rigging, Need for Speed Line, Buzz the Tower Aerial Operation, and Afterburner Open Ascent—each pushing teams to perform at a high level under pressure.
The competition isn’t just about speed—it’s about doing the work safely and doing it right. Every event reflects the skill, precision, and discipline required in the field every day.
