Demonstrating a continued commitment to community engagement and youth development, Vacaville Unit #3812 recently voted to allocate community funds in support of the baseball program at Will C. Wood High School.
The donation will help provide resources for the Wildcats baseball team, contributing to equipment, program needs, and overall support for student-athletes. Unit #3812 members recognized the importance of investing in local programs that create opportunities for young people to grow, compete, and succeed both on and off the field.
“I’m so proud of our team and all the good we do,” said Billy Stathopoulos, a Gas T&D Equipment Operator out of the Vacaville Service Center and 22-year IBEW Member who submitted the Unit Motion. “We’re so blessed to be able to support our kids and communities.” “Programs like Wildcats baseball help build teamwork, discipline, and leadership,” added Business Representative Mike Tilden. “Values that align closely with what we should all strive for.”
The Wildcats baseball program has long been a source of pride in the Vacaville community, bringing together students, families, and supporters through a shared love of the game. Contributions like this ensure the program can continue to thrive and provide meaningful experiences for its players.
Vacaville Unit #3812 remains dedicated to giving back to the community it serves, and looks forward to continuing its support of local initiatives that make a lasting impact.
