IBEW 1245 members in Wheatland’s Unit 3615 recently put their community fund dollars to work in a way that could make a life-saving difference.
The unit donated funds to Penn Valley Little League to help purchase an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for the ballfield—an investment in the safety of kids, families, and the entire community.
The check was presented by Pauline Walker, a 40-year IBEW 1245 member who remains active in the union even in retirement. Joining her were Grass Valley Electric Crew Foreman Wes Clay and PG&E employee Mike Graning, a member of the ESC union.
It’s a simple but powerful example of what union solidarity looks like beyond the job—showing up for the communities where we live and work.
