After more than three decades of dedicated service to the trade and to his union brothers and sisters, IBEW 1245 Business Representative Casey Barker has retired.
A journeyman lineman by trade, Barker was a member of IBEW 1245 for more than 36 years and spent the last 12 years serving as a PG&E Business Representative in the San Jose and Central Coast areas.
Before joining the union staff, Barker served as a shop steward and participated on numerous ad hoc and bargaining committees, building a reputation as a strong advocate for members.
“Casey has been a loyal soldier for both our members and our staff,” said Business Manager Bob Dean. “First as a lineman and steward, and later as a staff member, his dedication to the members and the trade has been unwavering.”
Barker’s final day as an IBEW 1245 Business Representative was March 13.
Following his retirement, Phuong Tran will assume responsibility for the PG&E San Francisco Peninsula General Construction area, and Daniel Ahern will take over the Electric San Jose General Construction area.
IBEW 1245 thanks Casey Barker for his many years of service and wishes him all the best in retirement.
