IBEW Local 1245 is proud to recognize members James Gutierrez and William Nelson, who have officially completed their apprenticeships and reached an important milestone in their careers as Journeyman Linemen.
Gutierrez and Nelson recently graduated from the California-Nevada Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC) program after completing years of rigorous training, classroom instruction, and demanding work in the field. IBEW 1245 Business Representative Jesse Green was proud to join the crews in recognizing the milestone and celebrating the achievement.

William Nelson graduates as a journeyman lineman.
The apprenticeship program prepares lineworkers for the complex and often hazardous work required to build, maintain, and repair the electrical grid. Through thousands of hours of on-the-job training and classroom education, apprentices develop the skills, discipline, and knowledge needed to safely perform the work that keeps communities powered.
Becoming a journeyman marks the transition from apprentice to fully qualified lineworker — a significant achievement that reflects dedication, perseverance, and commitment to the trade.
IBEW Local 1245 congratulates James Gutierrez and William Nelson on reaching this milestone and wishes them long and successful careers in the Brotherhood.
