IBEW 1245 is proud to welcome Dion Bailey to the union staff as a Business Representative.
Dion brings 22 years of IBEW 1245 membership experience, including time as a shop steward, as well as an extensive public‑sector background. His last assignment before coming on staff was Airport Duty Manager at the Port of Oakland and as the Mayor of Hercules. In his new role, he will be representing members at the City of Alameda, the City of Vallejo, City of Oakland, Port of Oakland, City of Berkeley, and AC Transit.
“We are excited to have Dion join the union staff,” said IBEW 1245 Business Manager Bob Dean. “His background in public service and his experience as a shop steward give him a unique understanding of the members he will represent. He knows how to listen, how to lead, and how to advocate effectively.”
Bailey’s combination of union leadership and public-sector experience reflects the strength of member-driven representation that defines IBEW 1245.
