IBEW 1245 member and United Traffic Control Services flagger, Nick Ramirez keeps crews and the public safe while Outside Line members replace poles for PG&E in Orinda, Calif.
IBEW is pleased to share that Caltrans-approved Flagger Certification training will begin on February 9, 2026, through the California–Nevada Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (Cal/Nev JATC).
This 4-hour, in-person certification course will be offered once per month at each Cal/Nev JATC training facility. The course is open to qualifying individuals, with registration available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Participants who successfully complete the training will receive a Certified Flagger (TCF) card, meeting Caltrans requirements.
