At the California-Nevada JATC Power Lineman Apprenticeship Center, six apprentices officially completed one of the most demanding training programs in the industry and journeyed out as Journeyman Linemen.
From left to right, the new journeymen are Kyle Reyes, David Romero, Binh Dang, Matthew Hamilton, Dylan Gonzalez, and Jesse Osuna. Joining them in celebration was Ethan Stonecipher, IBEW 1245 Assistant Business Manager, who was on hand to recognize the moment and the work it took to get there.
Each of these members spent years mastering the fundamentals of the trade — from safety and climbing to trouble work, construction, and storm response — logging thousands of hours in the field and classroom. Their journey reflects long days, physical demands, and an unwavering commitment to safety and excellence.
Journeying out marks both an end and a beginning: the completion of apprenticeship training and the start of a career built on skill, responsibility, and solidarity.
