After a quarter-century of dedicated service, Jenny Edwards is saying farewell to IBEW 1245 and stepping into an exciting new chapter—retirement.
Jenny first joined the union 25 years ago and has worn many hats over the years, from front desk clerk to mailroom support, and most recently serving as Lead Administrative/Accounting Clerk. Her warm presence and can-do attitude have left a lasting impact on everyone she’s worked with.
When asked to reflect on her most memorable moments at 1245, Jenny found it hard to choose just one. After 25 years, there were too many to count. She fondly recalled the late nights spent side by side with coworkers, stuffing envelopes with membership cards, and the lasting connections she made at union events over the years.
Her advice to current and future coworkers? “Max out your 401(k)!” she said with a smile.
Jenny’s next adventure will take her across the globe. With her husband taking on a new role with GE Aerospace, the couple will be relocating to Japan. The timing feels right, especially with her daughter—a talented musician—graduating from college in Oregon and preparing to continue her education in Italy. Jenny looks forward to traveling and spending time with her daughter abroad.
Congratulations, Jenny! Thank you for everything you’ve given to IBEW 1245. We wish you all the best on your next journey—you’ll be missed!
