Western LAMPAC (Labor & Management Public Affairs Committee) Conference in San Diego, California
This April, IBEW 1245 leadership participated in the Western LAMPAC (Labor & Management Public Affairs Committee) Conference in San Diego, California.

Bob Dean, IBEW Local 1245 Business Manager moderates the 2025 State & Local Policy panel. IBEW Western LAMPAC meeting at the Lowes Resort in Coronado, Calif. on April 15, 2025.
Founded more than fifty years ago, Western LAMPAC is an association of Electric Utilities, signatory contractors and IBEW Locals from across the 7th, 8th and 9th IBEW Districts, covering seventeen western states. It includes not only IBEW locals, but many of our major employers, including PG&E, NV Energy, San Diego Gas & Electric, and SoCal Edison.
Meeting twice a year, attendees discuss trends, issues, and the ever-changing landscape of the utility business. Over recent years, wildfire dangers and mitigation, electrification, and the urgent need to address the grid have been constant topics. In addition to informing and educating its members on public affairs matters and exploring strategies to influence legislation, it provides an opportunity to “promote positive labor management relations through cooperative efforts.”
