On October 11, 2024 IBEW 1245 and PG&E leaders held the 2023 Electrician Apprenticeship Graduation party at the PG&E San Ramon Valley Conference Center. Twenty newly minted electricians from three separate cohorts graduated after successfully completing the Electrical Apprenticeship training which includes 710 classroom hours and 36 months of on the job training.
Certified, qualified electricians are in high demand at PG&E and within the broader energy industry. From large scale projects to smaller enterprises, companies are working to meet benchmarks for “going electric” as part of sustainability strategies, while continually improving safety for broader community and the workforce.
IBEW 1245 Safety Director Jody Castro and Senior Business Representative Casey Salkauskas represented IBEW 1245 at the celebratory event, alongside the Field Training Coordinating Team, the PG&E Academy, the PG&E Apprentice Program Management Team and other PG&E leaders.
Congratulations to the class of 2023!
