It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of 25-year IBEW 1245 member Benito Mendoza, who lost his life to COVID-19 complications on Jan. 29.
Brother Mendoza was initiated into IBEW 1245 in 1997. He worked for Davey Tree for 25 years, primarily in Diablo division as a crew foreman.
“My father was a very honest and a very hard-working man. He loved his wife, children and grandchildren very much, we were his pride and joy. He left us with much pain in our hearts,” his daughter, Carolina, wrote upon his passing. “There is not a single time that I had ever seen him mad, stressed, or sad. Instead he always seen the positive side of things and had the most genuine smile that made you feel like home. He loved to help anyone who was in need and was very dedicated to his job at Davey Tree.”
Brother Mendoza was the sole provider for his family, and they could use our support as they deal with this difficult loss, along with the costs of his hospitalization and memorial. Please donate what you can using the link below.
