JOSE VALENCIA 1975-2021

October 29, 2021

Jose Valencia

Jose Valencia, CSO Co-worker of Wasco, passed away while on leave and has been laid to rest.

Jose started with PG&E as a CSR in the Fresno Contact Center in October of 2010.  He transferred to our family in March of 2014 and worked in the Bakersfield Customer Service Office.  He later transferred to the Wasco CSO, worked as a CSR and a Head Cashier.  Jose was well known in the community for his love our customers.  Our customers loved him and was pleased he could also service them in Spanish.  To no surprise, Jose earned the 2016 CSA I CARE Award for his kind ways. Jose loved to decorate the office for each season and especially holidays as seen in the attachment.  He was always dressed for success and some shared they’ve never seen him wearing tennis shoes.  He had a positive attitude and was a kind person.  Jose leaves behind 3 children Carlos, Gizelle, Eric, his wife Alma and a host of family and friends.

I remember visiting the Wasco CSO and it was decorated with Valentine Décor.  He was certain to share with me, with a big smile on his face, how much he enjoyed doing this for our customers and how they would enjoy visiting the office to see what was next.

Jose will be missed for his for his kindness, smile and just being a good person.  Jose may you rest in peace and I pray your family finds comfort knowing you made a difference.

–Trish Williams, PG&E
