IBEW Leaders Meet With Speaker of California State Assembly

IBEW 1245 Business Manager Tom Dalzell, Senior Assistant Business Manager Bob Dean and Business Rep Hunter Stern, along with representatives from IBEW 47 and IBEW 465, met with California State Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon in Sacramento to discuss wildfire issues and the related legislation that is currently moving through the State Legislature.

“Speaker Rendon was very receptive to our message about enhancing the resiliency of our energy infrastructure in order to reduce the risks that climate change presents to our communities,” Dalzell said. “We are grateful to have the Speaker’s support on our sponsored bill, SB 1088, which is expected to come up for a vote on the California State Senate floor as soon as tomorrow.”
