The Food Bank of Contra Costa & Solano is seeking volunteers on Saturday, May 12 from 1pm to 5pm to assist with the National Association of Letter Carriers’ annual “Stamp Out Hunger” food drive.
Letter carriers will be picking up donated food along their mail routes, and volunteers are needed to help unload and transfer the food at the following Solano County post offices: Benicia, Cernon St. Vacaville, Fairfield, Suisun, and possibly two post offices in Vallejo.
Please RSVP directly to Lauren Strouse, Solano Office & Volunteer Coordinator at lstrouse@foodbankccs.org.
Volunteers are also needed in Sacramento at the Royal Oaks Post Office to help unload, sort and transfer food beginning at 3pm at 2000 Royal Oaks Drive in Sacramento. Drive through the gate, and straight back to the loading docks to meet up the the Organized Labor volunteers.
