IBEW Local 1245 retirees and Nevada Alliance for Retired Americans members attended the Alliance for Retired Americans (ARA) Western Regional Conference on Senior Issues in Las Vegas in March, along with ARA members from seven Western states.

NARA State President and IBEW Local 1245 Retiree Tom “T” Bird had the honor of introducing Robert Roach, Jr., IAMAW, newly elected President of the Alliance for Retired Americans, and instructed the crowd on how to pronounce “Nevada” (Ne VAH duh) properly. The breakouts were informative and well-received. T-Bird led the NARA caucus in confirming the nomination of Hene Kelly, CARA/AFT as their representative on the ARA Regional Board from ARA Western Sub-Region 2 (Arizona California, Hawaii and Nevada).
