Each January, 300 to 400 delegates to the EWMC Leadership Conference participate in a day of service, in hopes of leaving the community with a lasting impression of the positive impact of Organized Labor. Local 1245’s quarterly community service projects are a direct result of the day of service participation during National Leadership Conferences.
On November 21, the EWMC will have its inaugural International Day of Service. Every EWMC chapter in the United States and Canada will participate in community service projects that focus on our veterans. Volunteers who RSVP by 10/25 will receive tee-shirts and lunch.
The event will take place at the VFW, 549 Merchant St in Vacaville, and will include painting, electrical work and handy work. Please RSVP if you plan to attend.
