IBEW 1245 member Dwight Johnson was recently awarded the highest award that IBEW has to offer — The Life-Saving Award, which is only given to members who have selflessly saved a life. IBEW International President Ed Hill wrote a letter honoring Johnson for his “unselfish act,” and Local 1245 honored Johnson by awarding him with a plaque at the recent Advisory Council meeting, which noted that “the greatest service that one can make to mankind is the saving of a human life.”
