IBEW members and family working on the Habitat for Humanity project were Jose Artiga, IBEW 1245 Organizer Eileen Purcell, Business Rep Anthony Brown, Cassandra Whitcomb, Anthony Seamster, Business Reps Lou Mennel abd Bryan Carroll, and Ray Capel.

An eight-member volunteer crew of IBEW 1245 members, staff and relatives painted walls and ceilings, scraped floors, cleared garbage and brought good cheer to Habitat for Humanity in Bay Point, providing elbow grease to repair a house that will become home to a family of seven in the New Year. Kathy Mennel supplied our crew with a delectable lunch, which we shared with the handful of additional volunteers.

At the end of the day, when the brushes were cleaned, floors washed, and equipment stored, the Habitat for Humanity leaders thanked the group for an incredibly productive day, and a community volunteer declared that she would never forget IBEW, not only for sharing lunch, but for the spirit and hard work we brought to the day!
