Former Business Representative Mickey Harrington was recognized at the Oct. 25 Advisory Council meeting for his record of service to the union in general and the Advisory Council in particular.
“Mickey has given his life to the cause of organized labor,” said Business Manager Tom Dalzell. “He’s a humble man, but he’s somebody who’s made a big difference.”
Dalzell said Harrington had missed very few Advisory Council meetings through his many decades at IBEW 1245, first as an Advisory Council member, then as a business representative, and now as a retiree.
For many years Harrington has served as president of the Butte-Glenn Central Labor Council. He has also run for the state assembly on several occasions.
