Ballots will be counted on June 24
Ballots for the Local 1245 officer, Executive Board, and Advisory Council election were mailed to members on May 29.
Every eligible member will receive a ballot for the officer and Executive Board races. This ballot and its return envelope will be colored blue.
If you live in an area where the Advisory Council seat is being contested (i.e. where there are two or more candidates for the seat), you will also receive a ballot for this contest. This ballot and return envelope will be colored green.
If you live in an area where there is only one candidate–or no candidates–for the Advisory Council seat, you will not receive a green Advisory Council ballot. However, you will still receive the blue officer/Executive Board ballot.
When the Utility Reporter went to press there were eight contested Advisory Council seats. Candidate withdrawals have resulted in there now being only six contested Advisory Council seats: Coast Valleys Division of PG&E; Sacramento Division of PG&E and Calibration and Testing; General Construction of PG&E–At Large (four candidates for three seats; Tree Trimmer Companies; Clerical at Large of PG&E–Northern Area; and Clerical at Large of PG&E–Southern Area. If you are a member in one of these areas, you will receive a green Advisory Council ballot in addition to the blue officer/Executive Board ballot. These ballots will arrive in separate envelopes–one green, one blue.
Please return your ballot in the appropriate color-coded envelope!
For members not receiving a ballot, needing a duplicate ballot, needing to update their mailing address, etc., we have a dedicated election e-mail address and phone number for you to contact: mvg6@IBEW1245.com and 707-689-8558.
