Local 1245 members Steve Gallow, left, and Jennifer Gray circulate “No on Proposition 32” cards at the EWMC picnic.

IBEW Local 1245 spread the word about Proposition 32 at the annual picnic of the Northern California Chapter of the Electrical Workers Minority Caucus, held July 21 in Hayward.

Jennifer Gray and Steve Gallow invited attendees to sign cards pledging to vote “NO on Proposition 32” and volunteer to help with the campaign to defeat this very dangerous anti-union initiative. Thirty cards were signed at the picnic. Gray and Gallow also stood ready to register members and/or their family members to vote in the Nov. 6th general election.

Also attending the picnic from IBEW Local 1245 were Bernard Smallwood, Donchele Soper, and Tai Jonas.

In addition to Local 1245 members, IBEW members from Locals 6, 302, 332, 595 and 617 and several people from the Cypress Mandela Training Center attended the picnic.

Proposition 32 is an anti-union ballot measure that seeks to muzzle the voice of workers, while allowing billionaires and CEOs to spend huge sums of money to influence elections and legislation. YOU can help in the important fight to defeat Prop 32 and defend our rights. Contact Jennifer Gray at J2G8@ibew1245.com or contact your IBEW Local 1245 business representative.
