WISCONSIN CAMPAIGN IN FINAL STRETCH;
A REPORT FROM LOCAL 1245 ORGANIZERS IN THE FIELD
We are now one day away from election day! GOTV kicked off on Saturday with great momentum. We had 16 community volunteers go out to canvass Saturday morning, which is a great turn-out considering our office has been open for a short period of time.
Ean and I continued the efforts up north in the town of Amery, where we were joined by six AFSCME staff members yesterday and were able to canvass the town as well as rural outlying communities.
We will be completing GOTV in Amery working out of a local business in support of Shelly Moore.
We had a great opportunity to attend the tea party express rally in Hudson. We
like to call ourselves the “Welcoming Committee.” We greeted them with wonderful signs and chants from our group.
After leaving the rally, the importance of what we are doing had been strongly affirmed. We hope to celebrate with a victory!
